It’s an annoying issue for sure and I doubt it will get fixed as pc controller users are probably a really small percent of players. updated Walkthrough Overview Diablo II and Diablo II Resurrected is divided into five different Acts, each of which has a 'town' that serves as a home base for the hero. Or you can do what I do and just put your buffs/shields/ skills you don’t cast that often onto the secondary bar accessed with right trigger. The best fix for this would be to either find a pad that only has digital inputs (like a Nintendo switch controller where L and R are not analog, however this pad doesn’t work natively anyways) or find some button remapping software and swap your L and R with the bumpers. When a player presses any of the face buttons or triggers that they have mapped to an ability, they instantly use them. Check the Switch Pro Configuration Support for a Switch Pro controller, or Generic Gamepad Configuration Support for anything else. Go to Steam Settings Controller General Controller Settings. This also happens to some degree with the actual analog sticks. When we brought controller support to Diablo II: Resurrected, players gained immediate access to up to 12 buttons. Make sure you have Switch Pro Controller support enabled in Steam. This is the same on any trigger (well at least the 3 different controllers I tested). If you press the triggers really slowly until they bottom out, they will never register. My theory is that the game doesn’t respond well to analog input. I’m not sure about your first issue but the first thing I do when I make a new character is remind attack from A to X. I can give you a little insight because I did a bit of research but unfortunately no fix.
